And then there was (hot) water!

The hot water guy came today to fix our stupid heater. My instructions from Andrea were to BE TOUGH, since the last time the guy left but the problem did not. I hovered over him with a very mean furrowed brow and, guess what, I think it's working now! Pat on the back for me.

Other exciting news: I'm packing to leave on Friday morning, all my holiday shopping is done and I gave Andrea the piece de resistance of Christmas presents: a 4-DVD set from the World Cup!

I'm glad it's vacation time...maybe it'll give me something of actual importance to get excited over...!

HAPPY TUESDAY EVERYONE!

Me: Spirit of Christmas Past

Yesterday we trimmed up the tree and placed the menorah in the entrance nook. I am now officially ready for the holidays: bring 'em on!

This year we finally took the leap from the pea-size 2-foot tree we'd been using for the past 8 years to a 6-foot tree that almost touches my ceiling (that was a lot of useless number information). I have been stealing glances at the tree all day, I love the way the lights reflect on the tinsel. I was originally against the tinsel, but I agreed to let Andrea lead the decorating this year and I have to admit, he is wiser than I in this department -- me being a Jew and all.

To be noted: most of our Italian friends who came over last night were shocked that I'd never had a tree at home...they had no idea that the *Christmas* tree is of *Christian* usage!

Happy Decking the Halls everyone!

My first day as a blogger!

You'd think that I would have entered into the blogging world a lot earlier, considering I have (theoretically) spent the last year of my life studying all things computer. I suppose it's better late than never: I am now officially part of the overwhelming ramble of useless babble overtaking the internet! Woohoo!

Welcome to Jodi's Personal Blog! Where I (Jodi) will excite and marvel, surprise and stupefy you all with my day to day humdrum, summarized into a lovely little parcel for your reading pleasure.

I doubt anyone will wander onto this blog without having been sent a direct invitation, but here goes, a description of me: Jodi. 31 years old. Living in Italy for the past 8+ years, recently married to an Italian, working as director/webmaster for 2 company websites (AND YET, this is my first blog entry, EVER!).

Welcome to my world....
